a.k.a. Gizmo Goose
I have flocked with the Geese since the early days, discovering the club not too long after its inception. I have owned a few bikes in that time:
- Yamaha XJR 1300
- BMW R1150GS
- KTM 950 (twice)
- Honda ST1300
- BMW R1200GS
- KTM Freeride 350
- Honda CRF250L Rally
- BMW R1250GS
The R1200GS survived for nearly seven years as my do-it-all road bike. So when the time came to upgrade to something newer the obvious choice was... a GS! So in early 2020 the R1200GS made way for a shiny new R1250GS. The new one is not a huge step up from the 1200 but still manages to be a bit better in every way. Count me one happy camper.

By the way, the header photo on this page dates from the early seventies and was taken outside the Mitre pub in Bayswater, London, my local at the time. My motorcycling history goes back a fair way!
