Here we go again with the wet stuff, groan. Anyway 14 Geese turned up at Yandina, one went home (JAG) due to other stuff requiring his attention, 13 took off up Dulong and across the Blackall Range and yes it was damp going on wet, but we persevered and continued down onto Stanley River Rd and it then cleared up as we headed via backroads into Kilcoy for a leg stretch. Ozzie was in raptures over his new Yamaha MT09 Tracer, don't know if the other MT09 will get ridden much now.....
At Kilcoy 2 more had to return home due to pressing matters and a decision was made to then try out the lunch at the 'Cormorant Bay Café located in the park/picnic area at the Southern end of Wivenhoe Dam.
We can recommend the 'Cormorant Bay Café, very accommodating as we lobbed in as one group unannounced and the food was excellent.
A dry run home for all, I think, as we broke up into smaller groups heading home via Split Yard Crk rd and Somerset Dam/Kilcoy while we think Ozzie went via Mt Glorious and there was a hold up for some due to roadworks, so all in all a good roll up and some spirited riding.
Those that rode were, Rod, Dave, Steve on GS's, Ozzie & Garry W on MT09's, Noel with Dave Pearce on Triumph Explorers, Lee Ducati, new rider Bernie S1000XR and Neil with pillion Peggy on his GS, Mick and Ian KTM's andMike GTR1400.
Approx 400km done for the day
