I met the Sheehans at breakfast at Yandina. Colin had photos (anyone ever seen Colin without at least one photo?) for his reason of being in a car. Yes, the adage is right, it was worth a thousand words of description, suffice to say, a replacement Ohlins is nearly here and we should see him on the GS soon without some of the electronic trickery working on the rear suspension. As no one else had turned up by 9am and with rain threatening, I resigned myself to a slightly roundabout route home to make up a few miles when Max turned up.
Max had an idea. After a quick discussion and look at the cloud direction, I concurred and we headed to Widgee, narrowly missing the rain in Tewantin's hinterland. We continued to Kilkivan arriving just after some more rain and 21 degrees. On to Goomberi for dry roads and coffee. Nanango RSL for a tasty lunch then on to Yarraman, Blackbutt and Kilcoy enjoying dry roads and mostly 100kmh speed limits (anyone remember those?) and light traffic.
Home by 3pm and 31 degrees after having dodged showers we could see all around us meant a good ride of just over 400km was the result.
Keep the ideas up Max. Mike
