Beat the Heat Sunday 19th ride report

Due to Invigor8 quite often being booked out on a Sunday during the warmer months an early ride seemed to be a good idea with coffee/brekky at a destination TBD on the day -  possibly heading north for the Rusty Ute Café at Woolooga.

A good turn up of 9 Geese at Yandina, Rod, Cos, Mike, Col, Steve, Neil (on his recent purchase a 2013 R1200GS ADV triple black), Pete, Mike A and mate Richard.

Col and Pete wanted to do dirt so they took off for points unknown !

Mike A and mate Richard were heading to Kin Kin for brekky so they tagged along out through North Arm, Carters Ridge and Kandanga where they peeled off while the rest of us continued through the back roads connecting Amamoor, Dagun and the roads to Widgee where a quick comfort break was taken at the rest area just nth of the Widgee store.

The run into Woolooga got us there just on 0800 opening time and we took advantage of the aircon in the dining room (as such) and indulged in coffee and brekky (nothing too flash but OK for a country café) and some varied discussion and laughter.

For the return trip we headed back towards Gympie and turned off at Chatsworth around the back of Gympie to Cedar Pocket for a good brisk run into Kin Kin and a quick break before heading up the Kin Kin range and then via various routes to our home destinations, all up around 300k for the morning.
