I think around twelve riders left Yandina heading to Widgee for a first stop. My idea for the day was to ride a different way to Tiaro for lunch.
There’s the long way to Tiaro going up towards Biggenden then around and down through Mungar, or there’s the short way from Woolooga straight across to Bauple or my third way proposed for the day of 40kms of gravel across from the Woolooga-Biggenden Road into Tiaro.
The turn off to the right is a few kms short of the memorial bridge where we often stop for a break if we go the long way.
The gravel road (Glenbar-Tiaro Road) is well maintained and something different to do and so was a good change. I think a few riders still went the long way round for a good ride on the open roads but we all eventually finished up in the pub at Tiaro.
After lunch it was back down to Gunalda and then home either through Gympie for some or through Kin Kin for others.
